Billy Collins Corpus Christi
Dedicated to the health and safety of his community, his country, and the world, Billy Collins, formerly of Corpus Christi, serves as a federal security advisor. He has worked with the United States government for several years, prior to which he served as a sergeant in the United States Marine Corps. Throughout his career, Billy Collins has also maintained regular charitable commitments, donating both time and funds to children's, health, and general service organizations.
Maintaining the athleticism he developed in military, Billy Collins has run a variety of road races, including several for charity. In 2011, he collected pledges as a runner in the St. Jude's Warrior Dash in Conroe, Texas, raising funds for patients and research efforts at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. He supports a number of other children's charities as well, regularly donating to several Boys and Girls Homes.
Billy Collins has worked to benefit children throughout his career. As a Marine Corps officer serving overseas, Billy Collins regularly volunteered with the children of fellow service personnel, serving as a chaperone on many school field trips to explore local culture. He continues to participate in the Marine Corps' efforts to serve young people, actively supporting the Corps' annual holiday Toys for Tots drive. He also contributes to several medical charities, including the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure to benefit breast cancer research.
Also continuing the international travel that his military career inspired, Billy Collins regularly visits a worldwide base of friends. He frequently travels to favorite destinations in France, Spain, and Austria, as well as the Caribbean and other tropical locales.
