Billy Fellin

Billy is a Sports Producer for the Richmond Times-Dispatch in Richmond, Va. He primarily covers local high school sports, including "beats" of golf, field hockey, girls basketball and girls soccer.

He also covers NASCAR when they roll into Richmond, including coverage of the Matthew and Daniel Hansen 400 and the Wonderful Pistachios 400 and RIR president Dennis Bickmeier's hiring. Drivers he's written about and interviewed include Kurt Busch, Denny Hamlin, Ryan Newman as well as the 11 drivers eligible for the 2011 Wild Card positions. He also has written a front-page feature on NASCAR's Green movement, programs and initiatives.

He also has covered youth sporting events such as the PONY Bronco-11 World Series and the Babe Ruth 14-year-old World Series.

He is a 2010 cum laude graduate of Christopher Newport University in Newport News, Va., where he earned a Bachelor's in Communication Studies. He was also heavily involved in The Captain's Log, the official paper of CNU all four years. He was assistant sports editor his junior year and was sports editor his senior year. He also was co-creator and co-host of "Overtime" for CNU TV, the multimedia wing of The Captain's Log.
