About Billy-Paul

Hey, I’m Billy-Paul Mbiya ,a student, web developer, creator, and someone who is constantly trying to understand how things work and how I can turn ideas into something real.

I’m currently based in Kinshasa, where I study Mathematics, Statistics and Informatics. My journey hasn’t been perfectly straight, and honestly, I don’t think I would want it to be. I’ve changed directions, faced disappointments, started over, learned from mistakes, and discovered new things about myself along the way. For me, learning has never been only about getting good grades or collecting diplomas. It’s about becoming better at thinking, creating, solving problems, and understanding the world around me.

Technology is one of the places where my curiosity naturally takes me. I enjoy web development, programming, software, and building digital products. I like the feeling of starting with nothing more than an idea and gradually turning it into something people can actually see, use, and interact with. Sometimes that means writing code for hours, fighting with an error that makes absolutely no sense, redesigning something for the tenth time, or suddenly getting an idea for an entirely different project at 2 a.m. that’s part of the fun.

But technology is only one side of me.

I’m also deeply interested in photography, design, music, creativity, and entrepreneurship. I enjoy observing things, creating things, and imagining possibilities that don’t necessarily exist yet. I like projects that mix different worlds together technology and business, design and storytelling, creativity and problem-solving.

I’m the kind of person who can become interested in an idea and immediately start wondering, “What if I actually built this?”

That curiosity has led me to imagine and work on different projects, from digital platforms and mobile applications to educational initiatives, businesses, creative concepts, and personal projects. Some become real. Some remain ideas. Some completely change direction halfway through. But I’ve learned that every project teaches me something.

Beyond all of that, I’m simply someone who is still becoming.

I don’t have everything figured out, and I don’t pretend to. I’m learning how to become more disciplined, more independent, more knowledgeable, and more confident in what I can create. I’m learning from the people around me, from my failures, from my successes, and sometimes from situations I wish had never happened.

I also believe that what we learn becomes more meaningful when we can share it with someone else. That’s one reason I enjoy helping other students when they struggle. I know what it feels like to be confused, stuck, or unsure of what comes next. Sometimes a simple explanation, a little encouragement, or someone saying “try again” can make a bigger difference than we realize.

So, if you’re here because you want to know what I do, the short answer is:

I study. I code. I create. I photograph. I design. I experiment. I dream up ideas. I make mistakes. I start again. And I keep building.

I’m interested in technology, but I’m even more interested in what technology allows people to create.

I’m interested in entrepreneurship, but I’m even more interested in turning an idea into something useful.

I’m interested in photography, because sometimes a single image can say what words cannot.

And I’m interested in life itself, because I’m still figuring out what kind of person I want to become.

This is my little corner of the internet a place where I can share what I’m learning, what I’m building, what I’m thinking about, and occasionally, whatever strange idea happens to cross my mind.

Welcome to my world.
