Binsen J Gonzalez

Binsen J Gonzalez is an entrepreneur, urbanist, and creative media strategist. He has designed and executed digital plans and initiatives for thought leaders such as Tulasi Srinivas (Global Economic Forum) and leading tech companies like TRAX Aviation. He is passionate about the quality of life of people in cities, growth and development. In 2014, PRISA one of the largest media conglomerates in the world, selected Binsen as one of 20 Latin American millennials poised to change the future.

Binsen is the founder of Our City Thoughts Inc (OCT), the grassroots digital media organization focuses on people and ideas transforming cities via entrepreneurship, creative social innovation and urban development through the voices of young people.

Through his efforts the organization's impact and storytelling on risk takers, profit makers, and social innovators has been highlighted in the Miami Herald, Univision Radio, WLRN, NPR, The Business Journal, The Huffington Post, Latino Leaders Magazine, Ocean Drive Magazine and CBS. In December 2013 OCT became a Knight Foundation grantee to expand its work. OCT has made millions of digital impressions worldwide.

In 2015, OCT launch a key partnership with Miami Dade College, the largest institution of higher education in the United States and one of the most culturally diverse in the nation. The fellows experience will expand on the organizations mission to empower young people's active participation in the future of talent and prosperity among millennials.

Binsen is a judge for the Voto Latino Innovation Challenge and has been involved with diplomatic creative projects nationally and abroad, like Inspired by Iceland and national marketing and brand efforts for City Year, Inc. He is an AmeriCorps alum and graduated from Emerson College in Boston, MA with a Bachelors in Communication Studies.
