I’m a wife and mother, living with Type 1 Bipolar Disorder, PTSD (due to childhood trauma), Rapid Cycling, Severe Anxiety, and S.A.D (seasonal affective disorder). I was diagnosed in 2011, though I went undiagnosed for several years. I have had Bipolar Disorder since I was 15 years old.

My 1st manic episode came around 16 years of age. I was high on life, invincible, delusional, promiscuous, had grandiose thinking, paranoia, and the occasional anxiety attack. I eventually got pregnant, having my 1st child at 17. I went through several up & downs in addition to major depression. I have had years upon years of making nonsensical decisions as well as being in & out of bad relationships.

My last major manic episode is what lead to my diagnosis.

Today, I am a well natured person who loves to cook/bake, listen to music, play with my dogs, surf the web, and totally loves my little family! This is just a little about me. In my blogs I will write more about my story, how I have survived a life undiagnosed, and life after being diagnosed.

I hope you stay along for the ride, it’s a true story, and it’s a doozy!
