Birmingham Heritage and Culture Association
association management in Birmingham, United Kingdom
The Birmingham Heritage and Culture Association is thrilled that there are so many cultural performances held within the theatres in the city. This encourages them to continue their work of preserving the culture and heritage of the city for future generations, as well as all those who visit the area.
Here are all the cultural performances that everyone can experience at the local theatres:
The Welsh National Opera
The Welsh National Opera puts on many performances at the Birmingham Hippodrome, which means that everyone can see a different one each time that they visit. Some of the favorite performances include La Traviata, La Cenerentola, Un Ballo in Maschera, and War & Peace.
The Birmingham Royal Ballet
This ballet company holds their performances in the same location as the opera and they have numerous performances as well. Currently, everyone can watch some of the ballet stars from the company take their class on stage. This is a great way for everyone to see exactly what each dancer needs to endure in their classes, before they even get to the rehearsal room to practice for their performance. They also perform The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Beauty & the Beast, and Hobson’s Choice.
The New Alexandra Theatre
People will find everything from musicals, dramas, and dance to comedies and concerts.
The Birmingham Repertory Theatre
This theatre is affectionately known as The REP and it is one of the leading production theatres in all of Britain. The REP creates brand-new plays, including ones that are designed specifically for children and families. While they perform inside this theatre, they also take some of the shows out on the road, so that other countries can experience the culture of Birmingham. They currently have more than sixty productions that they have done in the past and they continue to bring those back, so that newer generations can experience them for themselves.
Everyone in Birmingham can also see performances held at the Old REP, The Old Joint Stock Theatre, Stan’s Café, The Drum, The Crescent, The Mixing and Bowl Theatre. With so many options in the city, it is possible for everyone to see a performance almost every night of the year and never see the same thing twice. Fantastic news for the people that can never seem to get enough cultural events in their schedule.
We recommend our sponsor Beaufort Airport Taxis Birmingham if you require airport transfers or transport to visit these locations.
