Heri Bitamala

A long-serving champion of integrity building in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Heri has over 8 years of experience in anti-corruption and integrity building programs. Heri, originally from Uvira (South-Kivu), lives today in Kinshasa.
With extensive experience in program design and implementation; impact measurement and evaluation; and advocacy, Heri remains dedicated to advance the anti-corruption agenda in the DRC. His unshakable commitment to integrity and anti-corruption is drawn from the desire to make the Democratic Republic a state where government, public institutions, businesses, civil society act with integrity and are accountable to citizen's needs and expectations.
Prior to starting CERC, Heri spent 5 years managing Integrity Action funded Community Integrity Building and Integrity Education programs in South-Kivu, North-Kivu, Tanganyika and Kinshasa. During this period, he facilitated training for over 2,000 people as community monitors including 1,720 students who monitored over 90 development projects worth more than USD 76 million.
He holds a B.A in Business and Computer Sciences from the Université Panafricaine de la Paix and poursuit the Master of Science in Governance and Leadership from the MS-TCDC - Training Centre for Development Cooperation.
