One thing about me is that I love to travel. Whether it be a drive down to Florida or a long flight to Europe, I am always down to see new parts of the world. One of my favorite trips was when me and my cousins spent two weeks in Italy. We spent time in Milan, Venice, Florence, and Rome where we went on boats, made pasta, and explored all these beautiful and unique cities. I loved Italian culture so much that this trip prompted me to take an Italian language class last semester. I also enjoyed traveling to Africa with my grandparents and family, where we visited my grandpa's home town and where my dad was born in Zimbabwe. On this trip we went on numerous safaris and got to see many unique animals in their natural habitat like lions and giraffes. Another trip that I recently went on was to Peru for spring break with UGA’s Medlife club. Here I was able to see the rural areas of Peru and help give the residents there access to free healthcare with pop up clinics. I was able to roam the streets with my friends and try exotic dishes that were a lot different from the meals in America. Overall, my favorite part of the trip was going sand boarding over the numerous sand dunes. Ultimately, I believe travelling is important because by doing so you are able to learn about different cultures and customs on a much deeper and interactive level.
