I've worked in various newsroom roles for more than 15 years. As director of standards/ethics and staffing administration, I am the primary link between USA TODAY's newsroom and its readership. In addition to my reader representative role, I guard USA TODAY's newsroom best practices; oversee staff recruitment and diversity & inclusion efforts; facilitate staff training & development; and direct the newsroom's internship program. Currently serving on Gannett Foundation's Media Committee and Board of Visiting Advisors for Global School of Journalism & Communication at Morgan State University. Former member of Gannett's Leadership & Diversity Council and past Vice President of Washington Association of Black Journalists. Open to networking opportunities near and far.
