I am a postdoctoral researcher at the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, studying epigenetics.

I received my PhD in genetics from UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX, where I was mentored by Dr. Eric Olson. My graduate research focused on skeletal and cardiac muscle development, disease and regeneration.

Previously, I have studied tumor microenvironment and angiogenesis in pancreatic cancer.

Before attending graduate school, I received my MD from Hacettepe University in Ankara, Turkey.

I have a lifelong love of science, and my other passion is mentoring. My long-term goal is to have a leadership role in biomedical sciences and perform cutting edge research.

When I am not at the bench, I enjoy learning programming, digital illustration, rock climbing, and spending time with my family.
