Howdy, I’m Omkar.
I am a Quantitative Software Engineer currently working with Goldman Sachs in the Asset & Wealth Management Division based in Bengaluru, India. I was previously based in Dallas, TX for four years with the same team. I completed my Master’s in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Dallas in 2022, specializing in Machine & Deep Learning. During my studies, I worked part-time at ArtSciLab as a Data Analyst and Web Developer, managing web infrastructure and conducting NLP research.
Prior to my Bachelors in Computer Science from Indian Institute of Information Technology in 2020, I had worked in the domains of Data Science, Machine Learning, and Full Stack Web Development in multiple companies and on various side-projects & hackathons. I have also been actively researching in the fields of Computer Vision and Natural Language Processing, and have published a few papers in the same. I was also a Google Explore ML Facilitator, training students on campus about Machine Learning.
In my free time, you can find me involved in various side projects, learning new skills, attending hackathons, and reading!
