Blaine’s entrepreneurial spirit drove him to co-found milesource.com in 2000, which was a start-up that awarded airline miles for online purchases. The company did not withstand the dot.com fall, and Blaine shifted to a finance focus, first at Merrill Lynch in Investment Banking / Sales & Trading, then focusing on Agency Debt. Blaine then worked in Equity Research at Greenwich Associates before deciding on his career track of Investor Relations at AQR. Blaine has established himself as an Investor Relations & Marketing expert after over 15 years in the field by working at Shumway Capital Partners, Tiger Management, Tiger Veda and now at AO Asset Management, where he is a partner.

Blaine is a loving husband to his wife, Lindsay, of eleven years, and is a present and fun dad to his three kids—always creating adventures, nurturing their growing spirits and supporting them in their athletic pursuits, especially skiing and mountain biking. In 2019, through the Connecticut Cycling Advancement Program (CCAP), Blaine founded the Darien Youth Cycling Team, also known as the Darien Mountain Wolves. Blaine strives to create a joy of biking for kids of all skill levels, so that they may always have a sport to love, whether or not they choose to compete.
