My family's life changed dramatically March 2, 2008 when my son Evan became a spastic quadrapeligic overnight as a result of mitochondrial disease. Since then I have poured my energy into co-founding MitoCanada - a charity for Mitochondrial Disease - with the hope that one day we'll help find better treatments and a cure. Running has become a staple in my life and gives me time to think, challenge myself with goals, and is a platform for raising awareness for MitoCanada and Mitochondrial Disease. I live each day with passion doing the things I love and making the most of every day. My dream is to one day hear my boy's voice say "Daddy" again and to see a cure for Mitochondrial Disease.
