Blessing Godswill
Project Manager and Consultant in Abuja
Govt. Relations Officer | Admin. Manager | Program/Project Coord | Policy & Advocacy Manager | Diplomacy
I am a governance, policy, and diplomacy professional passionate about promoting accountable institutions, sustainable development, and strategic leadership across Africa. My work focuses on building systems that foster peace, strengthen governance, enhance administrative efficiency, and advance public policy grounded in evidence, inclusion, and operational excellence.
With a B.Sc. in Political Science and Administrative Studies from the University of Port Harcourt, an M.Sc. in International Affairs and Strategic Studies, and an M.Phil. in Security and Strategic Studies from the Nigerian Defence Academy, I combine academic rigor with hands-on experience in governance reform, administrative management, and development strategy. My multidisciplinary background allows me to approach institutional challenges through a lens that integrates policy analysis, strategic operations, and organizational administration.
As Government Relations and Administration Manager at Markliam Nigeria Ltd, I led state-backed projects aligning public policy with corporate objectives in housing and infrastructure. I managed administrative operations across multi-site programs, oversaw ₦50M+ budgets, streamlined documentation and reporting systems, and designed frameworks that improved compliance, efficiency, and inter-agency coordination. I produced policy briefs, coordinated stakeholder engagement, and represented the organization in high-level government meetings, strengthening institutional cooperation and diplomatic relations.
At ODEG Africa, as Development and Partnership Manager, I managed donor-funded initiatives on youth employment and community empowerment. I conducted baseline studies, developed policy documents, and led multi-sectoral teams to achieve measurable outcomes. A flagship initiative trained over 120 youth, with 65% securing employment or starting enterprises within six months — a model later adapted for broader youth inclusion programs.
As Training and Research Officer at the Federal Neuro Psychiatric Hospital, Kaduna, I supported institutional research, coordinated workshops, and managed documentation for capacity-building programs. I also led a mental health outreach campaign that reached over 1,500 underserved residents, deepening my expertise in public administration, monitoring, and institutional engagement within government systems.
