Yudith Meade

My name is Yudith and I am the always hungry gal behind this food blog. I am a Chemical Engineer by degree, with an MBA, and currently working in Labor Relations field at a major industrial equipment manufacturer. Virginia Woolf was quoted to have said “One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well.” That really fits me: I love food and I love eating. I am drawn to people who love to eat like I do. While I have always enjoyed cooking and baking, even when I was in elementary school, I didn’t start to spend a lot of time in the kitchen until about five years ago. At that time, I moved from what I would call a rather “metropolitan” area with restaurants, shopping malls, and ethnic grocery stores, to a new area without any of those… for a new job. Since I wanted to continue to eat well at home without having to drive several hours at a time to find great food, I decided to spend more time in the kitchen. These days, I would prefer to be eating at home any days of the week (well… except when I get the opportunity to eat at fabulous restaurants, then maybe you can convince me to eat out!). These days, when I don’t cook or bake at home, I am usually busy chasing our daughter around, and trying to update my blog (usually during my daughter’s nap times). In addition to homemade ice cream, freshly baked chocolate chip cookies and everything else related to food, I love travelling (in search of those off-the beaten path spots with great food, quirky shops or restaurants!) and yoga (my long-time passion which I need to get back into).
