Getting to the British Virgin Islands means flying into Tortola’s Terrence B. Lettsome International Airport, located on Beef Island. BVI flights come from around the world, but usually with a stopover in San Juan, Puerto Rico, due to the fact that the Beef Island airport’s runway is too small to accommodate large commercial airplanes. Flights between the British Virgin Islands are common and easy to find. There are several island-hopper airlines with charters, and ferries are a scenic and fun way to travel from island to island as well.
