"Curiosity about life in all of its elements, I believe, continues to be the secret of excellent artistic people."

When my 86 year old father belts out an old large band basic tune like Tommy Dorsey's, "I'll Be Seeing You," his vocal instrument still sends a chill down the spine. And when my son pulls from his again pack a well worn sketch pad, casually showing me his most up-to-date pencil and ink drawing the same feeling occurs. I'm in awe of their talent and artistry. Often, I have wondered why I did not receive that particular resourceful gene.

Too, I'm blessed with students and consumers that paint museum quality masterpieces, write lifetime shifting books, make profound documentary movies, and dance like angels. Creativeness such given that the like is equally tangible and provoking.

But what if we will not possess that seemingly substantial "thing"? What in the event the best we can perform is attract a stick figure and recognize a great piece of new music? Does that reduce us to non-creative beings?

Does that indicate we don't have anything to offer within the way of artwork? Should we ignore the impulse of the heart and pretend that this inarticulate, elusive longing begging to burst wide open is unworthy of generation?

Much like all art varieties creativity expresses itself inside of a myriad of ways, and she or he in no way walks alone. Flanked on either side, creativeness walks hand in hand with bravery and vulnerability. To are living a imaginative life we have to initially possess the braveness to look deeply in the cavern of our hearts, or we will by no means know what treasures lie concealed within.

When we do shine the light-weight of recognition into the dim place, and expose the uncut diamond we often experience uncomfortable and vulnerable. So, for most, thinking ourselves non-creative is easier than undertaking the solitary work of unearthing and polishing the gem.

Creativity may not normally be expressed by a powerful powerful baritone, but perhaps through a strong internal voice that powerfully advocates for your well-being of the soul. And though we may possibly hardly nothing pick up an artist's sable brush to implement paint to canvas, perhaps we could paint ourselves a bold and delightful everyday living.

One valuable and innate gift of every single human being is creativeness.
