Brendan McGeown

Brendan McGeown

Brendan McGeown is a future PwC associate, a CPA hopeful and a heavily involved student. Perhaps most notably, he is a Blue Hen.

Combining a mix of determination, hard work, and resourcefulness, Brendan has nearly completed his career at the University of Delaware as an accounting and finance major. During his four years at UD, his extracurriculars included Greek Life, working with the finance department as a tutor, and extensive work in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions.

In his time working with the Alfred Lerner College's finance department, Brendan shared his knowledge of financial principles, mainly time value of money skills, with students seeking extra help in their introductory finance classes. Coordinating student employment in the Admissions Office was the largest portion of Mr. McGeown's activities. He was responsible for planning events for 5,000+ admitted students and their families, coordinating daily tour functions, reading applications of prospective students, and managing over 150 student employees.

For the Summer of 2015, Brendan had the invaluable opportunity to intern with PricewaterhouseCoopers' Assurance Practice in Manhattan, New York. He worked on a team of associates, seniors, managers, and partners to complete real deliverables for notable clients using data and performing analytical procedures.

As his college career comes to a close, Mr. McGeown looks forward to his career at PwC, where he will begin as a Risk Assurance associate in July.
