B.Michael Peterson
Brian Peterson is a stage manager, production manager and stage director. He has been working in the theater industry for 15 years.
Peterson has written articles, interviews and various other stories for Seattle Gay Scene, Lake Union Beat, and the Cuntagious ‘Zine. The biggest achievement for Peterson as a writer is conducting exclusive interviews with all the contestants ofRuPaul‘s Drag Race Season Three for Seattle Gay Scene and leading his column, “New Queer on the Block” for 14 weeks. He is currently writing his first novel of the same name that should be released in the winter of 2012 via amazon.com.
From time to time, Brian Peterson dabbles in the art of theater directing. His directing credits include Scot Augustsons’ THE GREYHOUND (Spin the Bottle/Annex Theatre Co./August 2011), John C. Davenports’ HIS MOTHER CALLS HIM PETEY(2010 Page to Stage Short Play Festival/Seattle Playwrights Collective/October 2010), Manuel Puigs’ KISS OF THE SPIDER WOMAN (Trial by Fire TheatreWorks/March 2010),J.Stephen Brantleys’ BREAK (Over the RainbowPerformance Lab/Portland Playhouse/November 2009) and Anne Kerns’ELEVATOR LOVE (Studio at 4/Lane Community College/2004).
In 2009, Brian participated in a director class with Devon Allen at the Portland Center Stage‘s Greenhouse School of Theater.
