Brendan O'Brien

Hello, my name is Brendan O'Brien. I am currently a first year masters student in the information management field of study. I attend Syracuse University now for graduate school and also just finished my undergraduate degree with the same major from Syracuse this most recent May. I have enjoyed my time at Syracuse very much and hope to enjoy the rest of it here as well.

In my free time I mainly enjoy two things, sports and video games. As far as sports go, I love to watch and play everything I can. In high school I played football, wrestling, and track. Here at Syracuse, I actually have continued my wrestling career and am currently the captain of the Syracuse wrestling team. I wrestle within the 157 or 165 pound weight class. As for video games, I enjoy playing my Xbox 360 within my apartment and with my friends online. My two primary games of choice remain (and have for some time now) Madden and Halo. I consider myself quite the competitor in both and remain open for challenges wherever they may come.

My career aspirations are still somewhat up in the air. While I gretaly enjoy technology and the various aspects that I have experienced within the I-School, it is hard for me to decide where specifically I would like to focus. If I had to lean a certain way now, project management and consulting are two areas that interest me currently. I hope to find a new and exciting internship for this upcoming summer so that I can experience something a little diffferent as I have interned in the same location for quite some time now. A new experience would be a great benefit to me.
