Brittany Moore

While studying at CU, I am pursuing a double degree in Business Administration and Broadcast Journalism including a certificate in Leadership. Business is an area I have been interested in for several years. I have been employed as a seasonal/part-time Sales Associate for Eddie Bauer in Silverthorne and Boulder Colorado for five years and have experienced the business environment by selling and marketing the products within the store. This has ultimately led to my desire in pursuing a degree in Business Sales and Marketing. My goal is to not only sell a product, but rather help consumer’s purchase an item according to their wants and needs. This successful path is to offer the consumer knowledgeable information when making purchasing decisions. Our economy and nation is rapidly changing, and without highly qualified people to market, inform, and administer, our nation would not flourish as much.

Additionally, pursuing a degree in Broadcast Journalism has been a dream of mine for several years. Ever since I was young I envisioned the rewarding career in Broadcast Journalism and what it would provide. Due to my outgoing and determined personality, I started achieving many goals throughout high school and in college. By interacting in the Summit High School Leadership Class, the University of Colorado Chancellor’s Leadership Residential Academic Program, and being elected Class President for three years while at Summit High School, I have achieved the characteristic of communicating well and am easily expressive in front of a large group of people. I have taken three journalism classes and am very interested in the study of media. I feel that this would be a degree offering many opportunities.
