Beth Ann Morley

Urbana, Illinois, United States

I am currently a student at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and am pursing a degree in both English and Communication. I was admitted into English honors and I intend to look at Rousseau's Julie and how his text impacted British Women’s Radicalism after the French Revolution. I will begin preliminary work this summer and continue developing my senior thesis in the fall. Upon graduation, I hope to enter into the publishing industry in order to utilize my skills in editing, research, and analyzing literature. While at the University of Illinois, I have gained an understanding of editing, research, and public speaking through the courses that I have completed. I currently am working with SG Book Scouting and have had the opportunity to report on unpublished manuscripts. This opportunity has given me a broader understanding of what it takes to be published, and I would like to continue to expand on this knowledge. This summer, I will begin my editorial internship with Prime Publishing, and I look foward to delving into the online publishining industry. I have always enjoyed reading for pleasure and now am interested in translating this hobby into a career.
