BMS group of institution was established in 1946 by (Late) Sri B. M. Sreenivasaiah a great visionary and philanthropist. It is the first private sector initiative in Engineering Education in India. After the sad demise of founder, his illustrious son Sri B. S. Narayan took over the reins of the Institution. Under his able guidance, the Institution grew to greater heights. At present the all the institutions under the BMS group is managed by BMS Educational Trust, Bangalore. BMS Centre for Executive Education & Distance Learning (BMSCEEDL) is a constituent unit of BMS Educational Trust.

. BMSCEEDL offers 2 years week end Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) program in association with All India Management Association (AIMA) and Distance learning MBA & BBA program in Academic collaboration with Karnataka State Open University (KSOU), Mysore.
