Bassie Nkhereanye

My name is Bassie Mokhethi Thabani Nkhereanye. I am currently a third year student at the University of Johannesburg studying towards a Bachelor of Education specializing in Mathematics and Life Sciences Education. I chose this very unique career path because of my humanitarian and linguistic aptitudes, my love for children and the determination to make waves and positive changes in field of education, especially in the South African context. Although I am a strong and competent academic, I also have a strong creative side so I have done many things in the arts. I was in musicals all through high school and have since been in a show choir and in a drama production, which were very fulfilling experiences for me. I absolutely love teaching and the subject that I really do enjoy teaching is Maths (sorry Life Sciences) and one of the things I have to say I love about teaching Maths at any level is that it always comes with a challenge and I love a good challenge. I do hold part time employment both with the University and privately. I tutor both Mathematics and Life Sciences for the university and I tutor a few other subjects privately, depending on how comfortable I feel. When I’m not trying to change the world, I am often in the company of friends and family relaxing, laughing and watching TV.
