Boaz Weinsten

I am the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Saba Capital Management, a New York-based hedge fund manager specializing in credit relative value strategies. I established Saba in 2009 following an eleven-year career at Deutsche Bank, where I became Managing Director at age 27 and later served as Co-Head of Global Credit Trading, overseeing approximately 650 investment professionals.

At Saba, I lead a team focused on credit relative value, tail hedging, and closed-end fund strategies. My approach is grounded in disciplined risk management, detailed analysis, and the ability to recognize market dislocations. I am committed to identifying opportunities that create meaningful value for shareholders while carefully managing uncertainty and downside exposure.

I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from the University of Michigan. Chess has been an important part of my life since childhood, and I achieved the title of National Chess Master at age 16. My experiences with chess, blackjack, and poker have strengthened my understanding of probability, patience, strategic positioning, and measured risk.

Beyond investing, I am committed to education, philanthropy, and community impact. I have supported Stuyvesant High School, Zeta Charter Schools, and organizations assisting survivors of domestic violence. I strive to apply analytical discipline, responsible leadership, and purposeful action to every aspect of my work.
