Bob Gauvreau
I am The Bob's dog, Charlie. (Or, The Bob is my human.) Sometimes. When I feel like it. The Bob has been a photographer for over 50 years. Well, on and off, more or less. More often than not. He taught photography at the university and college levels for 17 years. His imagery varied, but ended up being mainly landscapes, ocassionally some other stuff. He exhibited extensively. Bob cut his teeth on phe-historic things like Verichrome Pan, Tri-X, HC-110, Microdol-X, Dektol, sodium thiosulfate (salt-based fix), Polycontrast F, Kodachrome, Ektachrome, VPS, Agfacolor, CP5, EP2, Cibachrome, additive color printing, yada, yada. He published a book. But, in 1989 he abruptly stopped making serious images, and did not start up again until about 2008. (Loooong, mysterious, dark story as to why.) But, he's back. Older, wiser and totally (re)energized by the wonders of digital technology and a more mature vision of life. O.K., that's enough about The Bob. Now pick up that damn tennis ball and throw it for me...
