I am a teacher and volunteer currently living in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. My interests range from technology to education. I am also interested in volunteering with my therapy dogs and astronomy. I worked for NASA for six years during the summer writing lesson plans for them. It is an experience I will never forget.
I am currently a 5th grade teacher. I have been teaching for 13 years. I love my job, and I'm always looking for new ways to motivate and push my students to learn at their maximum potential. I hold two instructional 2 certificates for the state of Pennsylvania. I received my elementary K-6 certificate from Lock Haven University in 2001. I added a Middle Level Mathematics certificate in 2013. Along with my professional duties as a teacher, I also am the technology point of contact for my school.
I am currently finishing up a masters degree program at Wilkes University. I am studying Instructional Technology Administration. This program has taught me many ways to incorporate technology in my classroom, school, and district.
I have volunteered in a variety of ways in my community. I currently have 2 yorkiepoo dogs that are certified therapy dogs through TDI international. I also am a CASA volunteer. I have two boys, now men, that I have been mentoring for the past 12 years. I try everyday to help them through the obstacles of life.
