Bobby Laurie is a travel aficionado and television host based in Washington, D.C. He is the co-host of the nationally syndicated travel and lifestyle program, The Jet Set, with Nikki Noya. He also serves as a Traffic Anchor for the Washington-based iHeartMedia and ABC7.

Various leading news outlets, notably CNN, ABC News, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal, often invite Laurie to share his expert views on the dynamic travel industry.

Before venturing into the media industry, Laurie worked in the air travel sector in various capacities. He started as a flight attendant in 2005, which he served for six months before rising through the ranks to become a policies and procedures analyst.

One and half years later, Laurie moved to Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin America to serve as one of the airline’s first 200 flight attendants.

In 2009, Laurie created a travel blog that served as a launching pad for his successful career in journalism. The blog primarily chronicled his escapades while working as a flight attendant. The blog’s catchy name - Up Up & A Gay - and his exciting stories made it popular among airline and travel enthusiasts.

In 2011, Laurie co-founded a travel advice firm called Savvy Omnimedia. In 2014, the company launched a Discovery Channel series titled TAKE OFF! with The Savvy Stews. A native of Staten Island, New York, Laurie attended St. Joseph by-the-Sea High School and the Pennsylvania College of Technology.
