Bobby O'Brien

New Jersey

I am pursuing a dual degree at UMass within the Isenberg School of Management: a Bachelor of Business Administration in Management as well as a Bachelor of Science in Sport Management from the distinguished Mark H. McCormack Department of Sport Management. I am also a member of Commonwealth Honors College and currently have a 3.84 GPA.

My passions lie in the sports industry as well as the retail industry. Within retail, I have worked for Kmart Corporation as well as A&P Supermarket. Growing up with a father employed in retail, I have grown accustomed to the industry and wish to pursue a future internship with a major retail company to identify my interests.

I chose to attend UMass because of its acclaimed sport management department. Thus far in my professional career, I have worked part time for the Lakewood Blueclaws (the A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies) and with Global Spectrum as a box office teller for the Mullins Center on the campus of UMass Amherst. I also enjoyed a successful summer internship with Global Spectrum in 2012 at the Sun National Bank Center in Trenton, NJ in the event management department.

My ultimate professional goal is to be a leader in either of these two industries. I am currently seeking an internship for Summer 2013.
