Bobby Whittingham

Bobby Whittingham is an intern with the University of Oregon Athletic Department Communication team. He writes feature articles for the teams’ programs and worked with major media outlets, including: ESPN, Fox Sports 1 and PAC-12 Network.
As an experienced communicator Bobby has managed two professional Twitter and Facebook accounts as well as his personal account. He launched a Twitter and Facebook account for R. Whittingham & Sons Meat Company three years ago and gained over 200 followers. The company uses the accounts to communicate with customers about industry trends and upcoming deals. In addition, Bobby managed the Facebook and Twitter accounts for the SOJC’s investor relations club, IR Futures, a club that helps University of Oregon students explore the world or corporate and financial communications. He posted stock market related articles and news regarding the club.
Bobby recently traveled to Chicago with the SOJC to network with PR professionals. He met with employees from Edelman Chicago and hopes to land a job with the companies sports PR department after graduation.
