Karthik Kochuparambil

I grew up in India for the first eight years of my life and have enjoyed sports since I was a little kid. The most popular sports there are different from the ones in the United States. I grew up playing soccer, cricket, and badminton. I also was very invested in Track and field and a passion for it started off in 1st grade and has continued since.

I moved to the United States when I was nine years old and have lived in Georgia ever since. I enjoyed running track throughout middle and high school and it helped me get a spot on the UGA track team.

In high school, I was able to explore many opportunities when it came to writing. Almost every class I took consisted of some sort of writing format whether it was a narrative for an English class or a research paper for one of my science classes. My favorite class was the dramatic writing class that I took during my senior year of high school. It taught me the importance of each angle, shot, and scene in a movie or show and also taught me how to write my own scripts. It helped me get creative in a whole new way and explore newer forms of writing which I appreciated a lot.

Nevertheless, I am, excited to see what kind of new writing skills I will acquire in this English 1102 class.
