Bob Ellis is a private practice lawyer who began his career in the areas of municipal finance and taxation and achieved responsibilities as City of New Orleans deputy city attorney. He handled a wide variety of cases in the sales tax and contracts areas and acted as administration law judge over housing blight hearings.

Bob Ellis’ work was deemed essential in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, and he gained recognition as New Orleans’ most successful sales tax collector. In 2009, the city attorney recognized him for Excellent Service and Dedication.

Mr. Ellis currently maintains a respected Louisiana and Texas litigation practice. He provides representation in the areas of criminal law and general defense to diverse clients. He also counsels investors and venture capital groups in developing startup entities and executive management strategies.

He also has managed a number of entrepreneurial ventures, including businesses focused on the EB-5 Immigrant Investor Program. He is currently on the executive team of Gulf Coast Regional Center, LLC, which assists immigrant investors in creating sustainable, long-term, growth statewide.
