Bob Holmes' Bio:
Bob Holmes has served as Global HSSE Director for TransAtlantic Petroleum since 2014. Mr. Holmes' primary responsibility has been to lead TransAtlantic's HSSE efforts in Turkey, Albania, Iraq and Bulgaria and develop and implement the TransAtlantic Safety Management System (SMS) throughout the company. Prior to joining TransAtlantic, Mr. Holmes served as an EHSS/HSE Advisor, Officer, Coordinator, Supervisor and Manager in the US, Bulgaria, Romania, Iraq, Turkey, and Africa with companies such as: CNPC-BGP, TransAtlantic Pertoleum, Viking International, Holmes Oil, Billings Construction, Glacial Energy and Afren Resources. Mr. Holmes’ is also a successful Teacher/Coach, entrepreneur and businessman with prior sales and marketing experience and involvement in Construction, Telecommunications, Medical Equipment, Technology, and Finance with the latter starting/directing a reversion to mean strategy for an Energy Hedge Fund located in Houston. He has been involved in oil and gas since 1977. Mr. Holmes’ s holds a Master of Science (MS) degree from Montana State University and Bachelor from Gustavus Adolphus College (Minnesota) and HSE certifications including: NEBOSH, OSHA, NASP-PSS, BOSIET, HAZOPS to name a few. He additionally holds 6 (six) security Licenses from FINRA, and US State Educational Teaching Certifications in WI, MT, MN.
