Bob Madden

Herndon, Va

I currently work as a Professional Development Coordinator for Douglas County School District. I have the fortune of collaborating with district and school leaders to build quality professional development systems and events. I also manage projects of varying scope and duration and then monitor their progress through a range of tools and processes.

Along with my duties in DCSD, I also present at local, state, and international conferences on a wide range of educational topics and have been selected to produce a national seminar on best practices for music teachers.

In the past, I have been a professional development course developer, music teacher, technology teacher/coach, 4th grade teacher, and 5th grade teacher of gifted students. I grew up in Rockville, MD and lived in Central FL for the first five years of my professional life. In 2011, I was one of 50 educators around the world recognized as a Google Certified Teacher and participated in the Google Teacher Academy in Seattle, WA.

My work is enhanced by knowing when to put email and Twitter away to spend time with my beautiful wife and alarmingly precocious daughter.
