City of Somerville Inaugural Ceremonies
On November 7th, I was honored and humbled when you entrusted me with the privilege and responsibility of serving as your Ward Three alderman for the 2014-2015 term of office.
The opportunity of serving you is one of the greatest of my life, and I am proud to work for and with the people of a community as great as ours.
Somerville’s best days are ahead. I am eager to work to create good paying jobs, strengthen public safety and fight crime in our community, and spark existing development efforts that keep our local economy vibrant and expand opportunities for every resident.
I will begin these missions on Monday, January 6, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. when I along with the new city government are sworn into office. I hope you will join us for the Inaugural Ceremony at the East Somerville Community School, 50 Cross Street, Somerville. Reception immediately following at The Holiday Inn, 30 Washington Street, Somerville. Both events are free and open to the public.
Optimism and best wishes are the hallmarks of this time of year. I send a message filled with both as we begin to meet the challenges of a new and exciting year.
Thank you once again for your support. I look forward to working with you to tackle the challenges that face us all and to making Somerville even greater than it is today.
Respectfully,
Bob McWatters
