Bob Nease

Before becoming a writer and speaker, Bob Nease was Chief Scientist at Express Scripts, company evangelist and co-developer of Consumerology, the advanced application of the behavioral sciences to health care. He oversaw and guided the organization’s Research and New Solutions teams, as well as Express Scripts’ Consumerology Lab. Bob and his colleagues employed intentional design, framed messaging, and advanced analytics to advantage better health-related behaviors while preserving individual choice.
Bob received his PhD in Engineering-Economic Systems from Stanford University, was an assistant professor of Community and Family Medicine at Dartmouth Medical School and then an associate professor of Internal Medicine at Washington University in St. Louis. He serves as an informal adviser to the Contraceptive CHOICE Project at Washington University, where he retains an adjunct faculty appointment.
