Bogdan Dogaru

I'm Bogdan Dogaru, a fractional CTO and co-founder of Vevol Media, a Shopify development and growth agency. I work where technology meets the P&L: deciding what is worth building, what to kill, and what it should cost. For a small number of ecommerce brands I take the senior technical seat, on their side of the table, without the full-time hire or a vendor chasing hours.

A decade in the UK took me from startup developer to scale-ups and a Scrum Master role at Aviva in London, before I moved into building businesses. Since 2018, the Vevol Media team I co-founded has served 110+ clients across Romania, the UK, Ireland and North America. Along the way we shipped Noblesse, an official theme on the Shopify Theme Store, and Company Form, a public Shopify app. I care about outcomes over hours, systems before scale, and using AI where it actually moves a number rather than where it looks good.

I'm based in Iași, Romania, working globally with roots that stay local. Through Vevol Media I help run the Shopify community across Central and Eastern Europe, including the region's largest Shopify meetup in 2026, and I rebuilt the online store for FC Politehnica Iași. Computers, business and football have shaped me since I wrote my first C++ at thirteen. Today I build digital businesses, my own products included, and I'm always open to a conversation with people building something real.
