I will begin with a somehow short presentation of my attributes and previous work. I have demonstrated my skills, not only during the normal university examinations, where I finished top of my class with a final mark of 9.43/10, but also at some national and international competitions. In 2010 I have been awarded third prize in a competition about concrete durability, organised by Heidelberg Carpatcement Group and next year I have proven both leadership and teamwork skills, conducting three of my classmates in an engineering challenge held at Bogazici University Istanbul where we finished third out of 16 teams representing other countries. The name of our project was "Truncated Pyramid Aseismic Headquarters", a circular hollow section steel structure, with a peculiar form, designed to resist strong seismic tremors. Along with the stability obtained from the geometrical characteristics, we also used an unconventional base isolation system, comprised of springs and dampers, with the building sliding on a Teflon plate. Moreover we tried to design this in accordance with today's BIM standard, sketching the structure in Autocad, assigning volumes and surfaces in Tekla Structures, analysing it in Robot Structural Analysis and in the end giving the final shape in Archicad, having all the elements attributes in one place. In the future we wanted to improve our building by performing some parametric design, but unfortunately the team split up, since every one of us went to different places to study.

Currently I am studying for a MSc degree in Advanced Structural Engineering with an emphasis on earthquake engineering at Imperial College London. My dissertation topic will cover the nonlinear analysis of an existing reinforced concrete building in Italy which was built prior of that area to be rendered seismically active.

I am eager to absorb any amount of information that is necessary in order to fulfil my dream that is to leave a trace behind me with every project I will design. In exchange I can offer my knowledge, intelligence and passion for this field along with the ambition and work power of my youth.
