Manish Agarwal

Manish Agarwal is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon working at Monklands Hospital in Lanarkshire. Mr Agarwal completed his initial orthopaedic training in India and specialist orthopaedic training in the UK with fellowship training at the Centre for Hip Surgery, Wrightington Hospital, in hip and knee replacements and revision surgery. Mr Agarwal concentrates on hip and knee replacements for arthritis, failed implants, both in the young and elderly patients He has developed a special interest in treating young patients with arthritis and also treating patients who have problems after operations and dealing with revision surgery of the hip and knee. He also provides a trauma service concentrating mainly on the lower limb with some general upper limb trauma. He also has an interest in periprosthetic fractures around hip and knee replacements. He routinely does knee arthroscopic surgery for problems like meniscal tears and other knee problems. He has several publications, presentations and abstracts nationally and internationally in well recognised journals. His research interests include outcomes after lower limb arthroplasty especially revision arthroplasty.
