Hi. I'm a 58 year old breast cancer survivor. I was diagnosed in June 2014 with Stage 2B Invasive Ductal Carcinoma. I never dreamed I'd get breast cancer. No one in my family has ever had it before. When I received my diagnosis, I didn't want to believe it. It felt like an ugly dream that I couldn't wake up from and I didn't know when it would end. I went through a double mastectomy without reconstruction and had 6 lymph nodes removed. I refused chemotherapy but went through 28 rounds of radiation. I have tried Tamoxifen and 3 Aromatase Inhibitors to keep cancer at bay but all of those medications produced horrible side effects for me and I felt horrible! I decided to find natural alternatives for cancer treatment. I've changed my diet, take a lot of supplements each day and do everything I can to remain cancer free. My faith is the biggest part of the equation. Without it, I wouldn't be able to survive, much less thrive.

Today, I am doing well! I'm feeling well and learning to return to life one day at a time. It's a challenge but I know it's doable. It's important to me to keep an accurate record of my journey and that's the reason I blog.
