As of fall 2013 I will be a first year student at the University of Buffalo in their Library Science program. In college I faced the question of "What talents do you have to offer the working world?" Well, I was not interested in teaching, nursing or buisness. Looking at my personal intrests I discovered that I had an affinity for libraries. I had volunteered at my high school library in addition to serving at my college library. Also, I tended to devour books. Even in light of heavy class readings I still managed to get through about 20 fun books a semester. My intrests ranged from mythology to history to archeology. Not to mention I found the library environment very much to my taste. I like a quiet environment where I am surrounded by knowledge. Having spent the first 14 years of my life in Africa, I have a desire to one day take my library skills overseas.
