About the Novel and Author:
"Fast Escape" is Dr. Bonnie Vause's first full-length, published work of fiction. The two main characters, Elizabeth and Harrison Davenport, are ripped from their established, comfortable lives to return to the poverty stricken cotton mill village of Elizabeth's childhood. A tragic fire has engulfed the town, including Elizabeth's home and her family. Unfortunately, it hasn't taken away her memories of her troubling past or the demons that haunt her dreams. Can Harrison Davenport rescue his wife in time, or will Elizabeth be the one who has to save them both in this riveting tale full of plot twists and secrets?
Dr. Bonnie Vause was born and raised in Eastern North Carolina. She and her husband of more than 38 yrs. still reside in the Raleigh-Durham area of N.C. Dr. Vause earned her Master's of Special Education from East Carolina University, and her Doctorate in Education from Walden University in 2012. She and her husband have two adult daughters and three beautiful, wonderful, brilliant granddaughters who are the center of Dr. Vause's life.
