I’m a Midwesterner residing in the capital and largest city in the state of Iowa, Des Moines. Most of my adult life I’ve worked in the corporate side of the financial services industry.

I have a passion and an interest in downtowns and traditionally designed neighborhoods. I also love to witness the rehabilitation of old houses, commercial buildings, and have a real appreciation for revitalized urban areas.

Someday I hope to be a small-scale developer helping to rehabilitate great urban places by specializing in discovering and bringing back to life buildings and spaces that time has forgotten but that I can envision again being a vital and productive piece of the urban fabric.

For fun, I enjoy family outings with my beautiful wife, Jody and the twinkle in my eye, our daughter, Temperance (Tempe). I love exploring urban environments…especially by foot or by bicycle or hitting a bike trail with the latest Freakonomics, Reasonable Faith, or Strong Towns podcast playing on my iPod.
