Recrafting the way of preparing food, Boris Lauser creates the most innovative and out of the box gourmet experiences using raw vegan plant based ingredients only. Following a mostly vegan and raw food friendly diet, Boris Lauser shares his passion for food, creating the most unusual and delicious dishes in his Berlin based dinner club and teaches courses, seminars as well as retreats worldwide, where people can learn the fine art of gourmet raw food cuisine.

In his previous career, Boris worked as Information Management Expert for the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in Rome, Italy. It was during these 7 years, when Boris discovered his strong passion for food. In Italy, Boris discovered the true value of food, buying local seasonal ingredients from the market, learning about the Slow Food movement and appreciating the Italian's approach to food and how they celebrate and socialize around it.

Boris' second strong passion is traveling and working for the UN, he was able to combine his two passions on several business trips. It was during one conference trip to San Francisco in 2005, when Boris discovered Café Gratitude and found the coffee shop of his dreams, ordering a raw vegan cheesecake and a chocolate mint chip ice cream shake, all organic, vegan and without any processed sugars. Boris knew instantly that he wanted to learn this cuisine.

Three years later, Boris quit his job and got his training as a raw food chef at the world renowned Tree of Life Center in Arizona, where people get cured of diabetes, adapting a low glycemic raw food diet.

Boris then gained experiences working with different amazing chefs at the Radiantly Alive Yoga Teacher Training in Ubud, Bali for several years and topped of his education with a two month program at the gourmet raw food Academy of Matthew Kenney, known for its avangarde plant based cuisine.

Boris Lauser is the founder of b.alive! (www.balive.org) and is currently one of Europe's most well known raw food chefs, running a semi-private supper club in Berlin, teaching classes and retreats worldwide and catering for bigger events as well as speaking at conferences and expos as well as on TV about the benefits and culinary pleasures of his diet.
