Under the leadership of Boris Kesil, Advanced Design Engineering and Manufacturing (ADEM), LLC, offers engineering and design services to a range of high-tech industries, including medical products, laser, and fiber optics. Mr. Kesil founded the Santa Clara, California-based company in 1997.
As President of ADEM, Boris Kesil draws on business skills and his engineering background to lead a team of 36 employees. He contributes to all aspects of the company’s operations, from overseeing the accounting office to representing the company at trade shows and business events, as well as assisting with individual projects.
Boris Kesil immigrated to the United States in 1992, after working in Kiev for more than a decade as a Senior Mechanical Engineer and Technologist in the aerospace industry. From 1992 until 1995, he worked in machine shops in Silicon Valley. In the two years prior to founding ADEM, Mr. Kesil served as a Machine Shop Manager for Inatek Inc., a division of Inabata & Co., Ltd. When he joined Inatek, his division posted no profits. Under Boris Kesil’s leadership, the division began to show high profitability and grew from 3 employees to 16 on the shop floor. Mr. Kesil introduced new designs that brought in several large orders. He also reduced manufacturing costs by implementing bulk-production methods.
Boris Kesil holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from South-East University in the Ukraine. He maintains membership in the American Society of Mechanical Engineers as well as the National Tool and Machining Association. Mr. Kesil currently resides in San Jose, California.
