Borja Alexandre
Filmmaker, Director, and Musician in London, United Kingdom
Borja acquired the habit of watching the world through the lens of a camera when he was 12, and by 25 he had founded his first production company and directed his first weekly TV programme about cinema.
He became a Senior Broadcast Editor and filmmaker for over a decade, until his love for documentary story-telling inspired him to create MIND THE FILM. Specializing in documentary story-telling with a penchant for art, technology and music narratives, MIND THE FILM are residents at the Somerset House Studios.
His life-long music composing activities and uncountable adventures in film, documentaries and new media projects have given him the ability to see any story from the perspectives of the audience, the cinematographer and the editor, which means, in practice, that he always looks for the elegant approach.
Borja is a visiting lecturer at Winchester School of Art (University of Southampton) and the Royal College of Art, where he runs filmmaking workshops with Susanna Garcia.
He holds a Master’s Degree in Interactive Digital Services and New Media (Institut national de l’audiovisuel – Sorbonne, Paris) and BA (Hons) in Audiovisual Communications (University of Navarra, Spain).
