Hello, I'm Bre! I'm 19 years old and was diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma (May 2015). I have six cycles of chemotherapy to complete , I should be done with treatments by the end of the summer. I have to say that it's been a hard and long journey so far. With the help from my family and friends I'm glad that I don't have to go through this alone. I can't forget about my lord and savior Jesus Christ and father God. I'm so blessed to wake up every morning and feel the sun on my face. I know that with some cancers that people don't make that far or are even alive. I'm so fortunate that I am living and breathing. Since I've had the cancer a lot of things have changed. I was forced to drop out of cosmetology school. I lost all my hair, I have to use a walker because of my mobility from the cancer. I don't go out that very much because of my mobility but when I do I like to go to the mall and hangout with my best friends. Just because I have cancer doesn't mean that it controls my life. Yes I'm in and out of the hospital getting blood work and Chemotherapy. But at the end of the day I'm still a human being and I do like to live life and have fun. When I'm not thinking about cancer or I the hospital I like to create art, listen to music, watch NetFlix, play the Sims, I'm a big WWE fan, and just LOVE Lady GaGa,etc... things that will keep my mind off of my illness. I just hope that anyone reading this knows my story and that if you are someone who has cancer to not be afraid. You are never alone you have the strength and courage to fight this thing. You are a survivor!!!
