MARK J.E. MAKONIE III
As an artist and member or the rap group "The Dove Shack" he was signed to Island /Def Jam for a period 3 years in which time he worked with such industry heavyweights as Lyor Cohen, Kevin Lyles, Lamont Dozier, Will Smith, Snoop Dogg,and the late greats 2Pac & Jam Master Jay. During this same period he was commissioned to write and performed on numerous gold & platinum records such as, The Dove Shack's "This Is The Shack", Warren G's "Regulate",Def Jam's "The show"soundtrack, Tha Dogg Pound's "Dogg Food" & E40's "Hall Of Game", he also went on to write & perform the west coast classic jam "Summertime In The LBC". Feeling compelled to give back to his community and share the blessed opportunity that was given to him, he later went on to help discover and launch the careers of such artist as Bad Azz (The LBC Crew), Crooked I (Slaughter House) ,Cogniac (Doggy's Angels) & Goldie Loc (The Eastsiders) all of whom which went on to have multi platinum success. It was during this same period that he decided to follow a life long passion for singing and began to work as an R&B vocalist at which time he had the pleasure of working with world renowned vocal coach Doc Holliday of MTV's "Making The Band". After a few mishaps and bad breaks do to the changing state of the music business and the internet, he decided to take a brief hiatus from the music industry as an artist he began to work with family and friends in the marketing and promotions field with the Los Angeles based company "Fireworks Productions" who's clientele list includes such companies as MGM films, National Basketball Association, The Magic Johnson Foundation, Nestle, BET & VH1. It wasn't until 2005 that he once again followed his passion for singing and began work on his current album "My Music My Soul". In 2006 he formed Rochouse Music Inc & Rochousemuzic Ent. and has since went on to sign and began developing the careers of several other artist and producers as well as writing and producing for television and film. Currently holding the position as assistant music director and Developer of Urban Content for "FILM ON T.V" he's definitely following in the footsteps of his mentor Mr.Quincy Jones and securing himself as an entertainment executive for many years to come.
