Sharon Lee

My story is short and simple. I am a Korean American who has a passion for animations and reading books. I consider myself to be an introvert, so when I was younger I usually spent my time inside my house watching movies or reading books. Although to some this may sound lonely, I made my best friends during those times. Not to brag, but some of my friends are kind of famous. For example, my best friend in middle school happened to be "Edward Cullen". I lived half my life with my head in a book or a movie. I liked how it felt as if I was one of the characters. The stresses from school and home all seemed to disappear when I read my books. Books can be seen as a part of myself. When asked what I like to do as a hobby, I would often write down "Reading". I can correlate myself to a book sometimes. There is a saying that states, "Do not judge a book by its cover". I would agree with this statement because although I seem shy and quiet on the outside, once people get to know me they seem to be surprised of how much energy I possess. Personally, I love rambling on about useless things such as why leaves change colors, or why birds hop around when on the ground. My "cover" is not a facade however. For in fact, I am shy and I do prefer to hear other voices in a classroom rather than my own. However, just as how a book is more than just its cover, I am more than just what I seem to look like from the outside. On the inside, lies a 18 year old girl who still dreams of becoming a princess and riding off with Prince Charming to a land Far Far Away.
