Bosco Tung is passionate about Christian unity, mission strategy development, and catalyzing collaboration for local and global impact.
Bosco's academic foundation includes a Master of Theological Studies in Urban Leadership & Development (MTS.D) from Wycliffe College Seminary, a Certificate in Publicity & Public Relations, and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Religion from the University of Toronto. His academic focus was theology and community development, with a particular emphasis on pursuing justice and collaboration in church-based urban and global ministry contexts.
Throughout his career, Bosco has held significant roles such as Office & Communications Coordinator and Interim Facilities Manager at Unionville Alliance Church, Church Engagement & Event Specialist at Effect Hope (The Leprosy Mission Canada), Regional Relationship Manager at Compassion Canada, National Director of Mobilization at SIM Canada, and Connecting Pastor at New Hope Fellowship Church Downtown (Light Presbyterian Church), all contributing to his expertise in supporting churches in their mission-centered pursuits.
He continues to serve as Founder & Principal Consultant of Prone to Wonder, Intercultural Development Advisor at Tyndale Intercultural Ministries (TIM) Centre, as Board Member of Christians Against Poverty (CAP) Canada, Toronto Prayer Breakfast, and is on the leadership of Lausanne Movement Canada and Evangelical Missiological Society (EMS) Canada.
Raised between Hong Kong and Toronto, and having travelled to over 15 countries, Bosco’s multicultural background infuses a globally-minded perspective into his work, allowing him to understand and embrace diversity in all its forms. He carries a special interest in mental health, relationships, current affairs, and culinary exploration. Bosco calls Scarborough, ON, home, where he lives with his wife, June Hur—a NYT Bestselling and Edgar award-winning author of Young Adult historical mysteries—and their two young children, Johanna and Benjamin.
